I build brands and the marketing that grows them.
I’m Kushal, a marketing generalist with eight years across fintech, publishing, and edtech. I work end to end — brand, go-to-market, demand, and content. Most recently, I turned around HighWire Press — a publishing-tech brand that had been in a three-year revenue decline.
When I joined MPS, I was handed HighWire Press — a brand that had been shrinking for three years. We rebuilt its positioning and voice, changed how it showed up in the market, and put the new identity on the industry’s biggest stage. The decline stopped, and growth followed. Brand work is slow, which is why it’s so easy to skip. In my experience, it’s usually the thing that makes the rest of marketing work.

What I do
Where I can help across the marketing stack
Working together
A few engagements a year · 2026
I take on a small number of consulting engagements each year, usually with founders or marketing leads who want a sharper brand point of view, a working go-to-market motion, or both. I work in short, focused sprints. You get real deliverables and a clean handover, so your team can keep running it after I’m gone.
About
A short profile
I work across the whole marketing stack — brand, demand, content, PR, events — but I think of myself as a brand person first. The growth numbers I’m proudest of usually started by getting the brand right.
I’ve led marketing at a fintech, a publishing-tech company, and an edtech product used by two million students. Before marketing, I taught with Teach For India, trained as an electronics engineer, and I still play the flute. Outside work you’ll find me running long distances or reading a bit more than I probably should.
